In larger consulting firms an experienced technical expert brings in the jobs, however the work may often be completed by a person with lesser experience or less relevant experience depending on staff availability.
Furthermore, in some instances, the project is divided up into parcels of work to be completed by different consultants. This silo mentality can lead to errors or missed opportunities.
Finally, it is uncommon for a larger consultancy to seek and use highly domain-specific expertise from outside its own group. In many instances this is acceptable however, at times there are only a small number of consultants that have the appropriate knowledge and skills for a given task.
At MHGEO, providing a task is within Chris De-Vitry’s core skill set, it will be completed by Chris De-Vitry. To ensure a quality product, all MHGEO work is reviewed by a suitably qualified person external to MHGEO that is agreed with you. When domain-specific expertise or opinions are beneficial to you, these will be sourced from another consultancy.
